A young hippo calf, born in February this year, swims past its mother’s snout as they are introduced into the main herd at the National Zoological Gardens in Pretoria. Graffiti artist Boyd Hill, from Brixton in London, spray paints a wall in Newtown, Johannesburg. His piece showing the wolf as the South African Police Service and the potential chaos it can create. Hill who lived in Cape Town 11 years ago, was outraged by the stories of police brutality in recent news and decided to paint the piece after he was invited to the country as part of the ‘Back to the City’ festival to be held on 27 April.
